Wood is a living material and you may find that the holes may seem more or less tight. It often helps to use a different split, or use 2 splits to make the element sit better and you can also widen the split with the tool to make it tighter.

WoodMee® is treated with beeswax. If you want to freshen up the elements or protect them even better, this can be done with additional treatment with beeswax.
